What started out as taking my art into a digital format to add a new element to my presentations has turned into an exploration of using graphic illustration to help with science communication and outreach. While I have only begun this path recently, I cannot wait to explore the avenues I can take with my new found love for digital artwork.
I dabble here and there when it comes to photography and photo editing, but am always keen to be taking photos outdoors and playing perspective. I'm an avid learner and am delighted when other photographers want to go on outdoor adventures to snap some photos and learn new skills of photography.
I'm a huge advocate for making science accessible to all, whether that's through community engagement and outreach, presentations, graphics that can help tell a story, or fun elevator pitches that are just enough to hook a person's interest. I believe one of the most crucial aspects for researchers is to communicate our findings to the public in an engaging and inclusive environment.
