and biodiversity in a wet world.
About meI am a recent graduate from Simon Fraser University in B.C with an MSc in Biological Sciences with a focus on marine biodiversity and conservation. I worked with Dr. Nick Dulvy in the Marine Biodiversity and Conservation lab as part of the Earth2Ocean Research Group. My research focused on identifying key biodiversity areas for all sharks, rays, and chimaeras (class Chondrichthyes) globally as well as the abiotic and biotic drivers of biodiversity.

Research InterestsTo date almost all animal phyla occur in the oceans, yet the human induced threats on marine biodiversity continue to increase. Therefore, understanding the inherent spatial patterning of species distributions are crucial in appropriating effective marine conservation management. I hope to combine the use of GIS with ecological, evolutionary, and socio-economic data to aid in future conservation planning and spatial prioritization.
